Sortoflife.com: First we would like to know that exactly from what idea you have started the business Never Paint Again?

Firstly, thank you for giving me the opportunity to talk about our company through this interview. The organization “Never Paint Again” was started up in 2001 on a budget of only 5 pounds sterling (!) and has grown to be Europe’s largest exterior wall coating, specialist paints and wall rendering company, with main offices in the UK and Spain. We have been on the radio many times, and the TV, and our editor has written in various top magazines and newspapers in Europe.

The idea came about whilst working for another similar company in the industry who used very old fashioned ways of marketing such as direct mail leaflets, telemarketing and magazine adverts. The internet was becoming popular during this time and we saw the opportunity to market ourselves online, dramatically slashing costs, which meant we could offer our house painting services cheaper, and to a wider audience. Our competitors at the time thought we were crazy, however they all realized we were moving in the right direction and they all ended up copying us!

Sortoflife.com: What are the differences between the offered painting services? There are exterior, solid, commercial and many different options to choose from, what are the important benefits?

The range of building coatings we offer are premium services using the best quality materials, and are mainly designed to be a long term replacement for the more traditional type of paint.

The main bulk of our client base in private home owners, who have the yearly trouble with finding a decent contractor to paint their homes. Our service eliminates this need because after our special paint coatings are applied to a customer’s house, the need for painting again is stopped for up to 20 years, giving considerable savings to the client.

We also work for larger companies and organizations and have painted many retail and commercial premises such as hotels, post offices and factories, with our long life wall coatings, affording the corporate client considerable savings on ongoing maintenance costs for their buildings.
The benefits of our system is that not only do we give a full repair to any defects within the walls, our coatings also stop damp entering the building, and insulate, thus bringing even more savings, with reduced heating bills for the home.

Sortoflife.com: Wall rendering is a little different service than painting, why do you offer this service? Is there any extra advantage of using your paint on your rendered wall?

With our exterior wall rendering service, we can tackle the most difficult building refurbishment jobs as our products are second to none in durability. The render exterior wall coatings used by NEVER PAINT AGAIN are frequently specified by architects and give a pleasing, no maintenance external finish, for buildings which have been neglected and need far more than just painting.

The wall render can also be used as a replacement for sand and cement renders, stucco, pebbledash and lime render too. It is installed by our teams and comes with a 15 year warranty.

All of our products can be custom made to the clients needs. No two houses we work on are ever the same and the wishes of our customers, combined with our expert technical knowledge, mean that NEVER PAINT AGAIN can deliver EXACTLY what the client needs, and at a time, and a budget, which suits them.

Word of mouth advertising from happy customers has helped to give the company the edge over its competitors and the business continues to grow and enter new markets in Europe. Our main area of innovation has been our marketing online, something which has been copied by others, but we were the first in the world to take the approach that we did, and that has paid off. Although we only work in Europe, we have fans and regular visitors to the website from around the world. We are very popular in Malaysia and the Philippines, but we still have not worked out why!

Sortoflife.com: What regional areas are you covering? Is there any way to book your service online?

When we first started, we only covered the southern part of the United Kingdom. Then with some good success, and a healthy economy at that time, we expanded to include the province of Wales, the rest of England, and also Scotland too.

Over the past few years, we have expanded via a network of affiliates and we now have representation in Spain, Portugal and in Ireland. The company has also just released a German Language version of our website, for German home owners who live in Spain.

Sortoflife.com: Do you have any guarantee or insurance for your work? Like how long usually the clients can be free of headache about painting?

All our work is guaranteed for 15 years against coating failure and damp penetration into masonry. As we install our products using our own teams, quality can be controlled throughout the process, so when we finish, the client can have peace of mind for 15 years, at least.

However in a world where nothing is ever quite as it seems, we offer a 3rd party insurance scheme as an added extra against the impossible happening and our company disappearing with the client’s money! (Lol) ! This is of course NOT ever going to happen, but for the client, it is another extra bit of reassurance that stands us apart from our competitors.

Sortoflife.com: What features are you going to offer in future? What recent futures are making neverpaintagain.co.uk unique from other companies?

We have introduced many new features over the years, some have been more popular than others, but we always do try and bring something different, something that no one else has done. Of course, competitors soon copy us, so we have to think “on our feet” all the time to stay ahead. Our interactive photo gallery, launched last winter, has been featured in several design magazines, and our youtube channel is extremely popular with new videos being added each week.
